NEW YORK & LEXINGTON, KY, February 10, 2015 – Viamedia, the television industry’s leading independent provider of outsourced local television advertising services on behalf of cable companies, today announced the addition of Mike Szczechura as GM in the East Region and the promotion of Jeff Morrett to Area Manager to the Central Region.
In the East Region, Mike Szczechura will be joining Viamedia as General Manager for their Pennsylvania markets of Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre and Johnstown-Altoona.
Mike comes to Viamedia with more than 25 years of television and online advertising experience. Mike’s background includes: Area Vice President for Comcast in Fullerton California, Area Vice President for Comcast within Bethesda Maryland, Vice President of Sales and Operations for Charter in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as some exciting ventures within the digital space which will help develop our team’s skills and delivery in a very important and high focused area for the company.
Mike will join Viamedia on February 16th.
In the Central Region, Jeff Morrett has been promoted to Area Manager overseeing Central Kentucky, which will now include Louisville, and Cincinnati.
Jeff began his career with Viamedia 11 years ago as an Account Executive in Detroit. After a successful career as an AE, Jeff relocated as General Sales Manager to launch the company’s operations in Augusta, GA. After a few years in Augusta, he once again relocated with the company to Kentucky as General Manager overseeing the Central KY properties.
Jeff has been a tremendous asset to Viamedia over the past decade. Not only has he been successful in sales, having won multiple Peak Performer and Central/ Mideast Manager of the Year awards, he has also been instrumental in business development. Jeff is personally responsible for helping the company sign five cable operators.
Jeff will begin overseeing the Louisville and Cincinnati markets, in addition his current oversight of the Central KY properties, immediately.
