Sundance Channel will sport a new moniker and logo next month.

SundanceTV will rollout its redesign in the weeks leading up to the Feb. 27 premiere of original series, The Red Road, starring Jason Momoa, Julianne Nicholson and Martin Henderson.

The network said the rebrand underlines its commitment to creating fresh and daring original programming. The new design, developed in partnership with Base Design and Johnson + Wolverton, aspires to stand out in today’s multiplatform, digital TV world and will feature a streamlined logo in a modern sans serif font and neutral palette.

Moreover, the rebranding will also see the migration of the AMC Networks’ service’s web presence to a new site, sundance.tv.

“We have made great strides in the past few years with our original programming and we see this as the perfect moment to mark that shift with a new name and fresh logo,” said Monica Bloom, SundanceTV senior vice president of marketing. “SundanceTV aims to create television that is as remarkable as the best independent films, and this rebrand embodies that position with confidence.”
