“The Simpsons” is coming to cable, per Gary Newman, chairman-CEO of 20th Century Fox TV. He is shopping the rerun rights to the popular cartoon’s nearly 600 episodes, reports Variety. Newman called “The Simpsons” “the greatest television asset of all time — certainly the greatest in a generation.” The show has been a staple of broadcast syndication for nearly 20 years and a consistent seller on DVD.
