Post Type:news 'Game of Arms' Premiere Draws One Million Viewers | Viamedia

Last night’s premiere of AMC’s newest unscripted series, Game of Arms, debuted with 1 million viewers and 626,000 adults 18-49 – making it AMC’s highest weeknight unscripted series premiere ever.

“Undertow Films, hand-in-hand with the AMC unscripted team, delivered unique access into a really compelling world with Game of Arms. I am so proud of their attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality storytelling,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “And, the good news is, the matches are just getting started.”

Billed as “a different kind of fight club,” Game of Arms is a look inside the raw and highly competitive world of underground arm wrestling. The series follows the members of five regional arm wrestling clubs in Erie, PA, Kansas City, KS, New York, NY, Sacramento, CA and Baton Rouge, LA as they hit the road and wager their reputation, relationships and money for the sport. Game of Arms not only focuses on the technique and skill in this high-stakes world, but also the family, careers and personal struggles of each man outside of the sport. Each episode features a dramatic regional match, leading to a tournament finale where the entire cast will compete for prize money and bragging rights.

The series hails from Undertow Films’ Matt Renner and Ethan Prochnik, the Emmy Award-winning producers of Deadliest Catch, along with their partner, executive producer Dan Ilani.

The show airs on AMC at 10 p.m. on Tuesday nights.
