Wednesday’s premiere of FX’s American Horror Story: Coven slashed the series’ all time viewership record drawing 5.54 million viewers, the network announced Thursday.
The premiere of the third season of AHS:Coven also set series records among adults 18-49 (3.87 million viewers) and adults 18-34 (2.34 million) as well as with females 1 8-49 (2.36 million) and 18-34 (1.47 million), said network officials. The episode was the most watched show among adults 18-34 for the night on broadcast and cable and second among adults 18-49 behind ABC’s Modern Family.
The premiere telecast and encore runs (11:12 PM and 1:25 AM) of Coven combined to deliver 7.78 million Total Viewers and 5.36 Million Adults 18-49, said network officials.
