Buoyed by reality shows including “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” and the “Million Dollar Listing” franchise, Bravo has achieved its best third quarter in the network’s 33-year history.
The NBCU cabler averaged just under 1 million total viewers in primetime for quarter three, which ran from July 1 to Sept. 29 this year. This figure is up 12% when compared to Bravo’s total viewership during 2012′s third quarter. Bravo was also up 8% in adults 18-49, and ranked in the top 10 cable nets in viewers 25-54.
Among cable entertainment networks, Bravo was tenth in 18-49 for quarter three, and continues to outperform other cablers in terms of affluent, educated viewer numbers.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s” fifth season concluded its run on Bravo in late September, with reunion specials slated to air this month. Season five averaged over 5 million total viewers, including over 2 million in adults 25-54/
“The Real Housewives of Miami’s” third season is currently underway on the net, and up 10% in adults 18-49. “Below Deck” also performed solidly on the cabler during its frosh run, averaging 1.7 million total viewers.
Bravo will likely post strong results for fourth quarter as well this year, as programs including “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “Vanderpump Rules” and “Shahs of Sunset” return to the net’s lineup in November.
