New York City, June 20, 2016 – Viamedia, the television industry’s largest independent cable TV ad management company, today announced that David Solomon, the company’s executive vice president of sales since 2006, has been promoted to chief revenue officer (CRO), with oversight for the company’s overall revenue and sales.

In 2016, Viamedia has expanded its footprint enjoying a string of new and renewed partnerships including with CenturyLink, TDS Telecom and Paul Bunyan Communications. New and/ or expanded markets include Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee; Jacksonville, Florida; Madison, Wisconsin; Seattle; Minneapolis; Portland, Oregon; Salt Lake City; and Grand Rapids, Minnesota, among others.

In addition, Viamedia’s advanced advertising has expanded its programmatic TV advertising supply side platform, continued to grow its Google Fiber deployment of addressable advertising, and has invested in its online sales efforts and OTT adtech on behalf of all its MVPD partners. Viamedia now also offers a wide range of back-office infrastructure services to support MVPD existing television ad sales.

Solomon is based in Viamedia’s Lexington, KY operational headquarters and reports directly to the company’s CEO, Mark Lieberman.

Solomon has over 20 years’ experience in advertising sales including print, long-form media[DS1]  solutions and cable television spot sales.  His cable television sales experience began with TeleCable in Lexington, Kentucky.  Later he worked as a sales manager for Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI) and, subsequently, AT&T cable advertising.  Later Solomon was general sales manager for Insight Media and Comcast Spotlight advertising.  Solomon began with Viamedia as a corporate vice president in 2003, becoming executive vice president in 2006, and played a significant role in the company’s growth from fewer than a dozen employees to nearly 400 today.   Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Psychology and a Bachelor of Business Administration, both from the University of Kentucky.  Among numerous civic and charitable associations, Solomon is active in fundraising on behalf of Sunrise Children’s Services, which assists abused, abandoned or neglected children.
